Welcome to the Series Minx Pages. This site, as the name implies, is dedicated to the Hillman Minx Series 1 - 6, manufactured by the now defunct British automobile company, Rootes Motors Ltd. from 1956 - 1967. The Rootes Group also manufactured the Sunbeam, Singer, and Humber automobile makes as well as the commercial Commer and Karrier vehicles.
This site was created in part due to the passing of Doug Bragg. Doug created and maintained the pre-eminent website on the Series Minx, the "What's A Hillman" site. From its inception in 1998 until Doug's death in 2007 his site was an excellent source of information on all things related to these great cars. There were some tentative plans made to include some of Doug's articles and site features on this and another site as we did not want to see them lost. Someone has now stepped forward and volunteered to keep Doug's site operating in its original form which is a great memorial to Doug and a great service to Hillman owners everywhere. You'll find a link to the site on the links page.

Update: March, 2011 - We have now sold our Hillman but still have our Sunbeam Alpine and Sunbeam Rapier. I have not ruled out
buying another Minx but for now will stick with the two Rootes vehicles we have. As a result I might be adding new content that is
more related to the Rootes Group in general and not necessarily Hillman specific, to the site.
