VANCOUVER ALL BRITISH FIELD MEET
MAY 17, 2008
This year's ABFM turned out to be one of the best attended in a number of years. Just under 600 mostly vintage British cars, trucks, and motorcycles were on display at the Van Dusen Botannical Gardens in Vancouver, B.C. for this, the 23rd anniversary of this great event. The weather was spectacular which was the probable reason for the high numbers of vehicles present this year. It usually rains at least part of the day at this show but this year it was sunny and hot all day.
Craig and Nancy Burlingame's 1955 Hillman Minx Convertible (the Might Minx!) sporting it's brand new paint job, interior upholstery and carpets
Peter and Karen Woodall's beautiful 1953 Sunbeam Alpine
This was the second year that we have had our own catagory for Rootes Group automobiles thanks to the lobbying efforts of Ohan Korlikian from Sunbeam Canada. Before that we were spread out amongst other more generalized groups (ie: Post War Sports and GT etc.) with the exception of the Sunbeam Tigers who have always had their own catagory. This year twelve Rootes Group cars were present as well as ten Sunbeam Tigers.
